VAT exemption

As an NFG registered member, you may be eligible for an exemption from VAT on your caregiving activities. Whether this applies to you can be found in the decision by the Tax and Customs Administration regarding exemption for medical professionals.

After your registration, you will receive a sample letter from the NFG that you can use—adapted if desired—to apply for or substantiate the exemption with the Tax and Customs Administration.

NFG Newsletter and TCC Magazine

Every two weeks, you will receive a newsletter from us with current information for registered members — except around the summer and Christmas holidays. In addition, the TCC Magazine is published quarterly, featuring background articles on the field.

Invoicing

In the case of reimbursed care, the client pays the invoice directly to you and submits it to the health insurer—either directly or through you. An invoice eligible for reimbursement contains at least:

• Name and address details of the practice/healthcare provider in accordance with Vektis
• Full General Terms and Conditions code(s)
• Name, department and NFG registration number
• Name and registration number of umbrella organization (if applicable)
• Name and address details of the insured
• Date of birth of the insured
• Date(s) of treatment
• Practitioner details (for multiple healthcare providers in the practice)
• National performance code including description
• Brief description of the form of treatment

Wkkgz

All NFG registered members meet the quality requirements of the Healthcare Quality, Complaints and Disputes Act (Wkkgz): education at higher professional professional level and a biennial renewal of registration. NFG disciplinary law was abolished as of January 1, 2017. Want to know more? Read here how the NFG handles this.

In the event of a complaint, follow the procedure below. Who assists you depends on whether you use the NFG's collective insurance package.

Certificate of Conduct (VOG)

Upon registration, you apply for a Certificate of Conduct (VOG), which is no older than three months at that time. You renew this certificate every five years.

Re-registration

Re-registration takes place every two years — with the exception of aspirant members. To do so, you must provide supporting documents demonstrating that you have met the requirements: four continuing education days per year, twelve hours of supervision or peer supervision, and keeping two professional textbooks up to date.

NFG Visitation Protocol

As a registered member, you may receive an inspection by a Quality Management employee, who will review your practice management. You can request the full inspection protocol from .

To cancel

You must cancel your membership before December 1st by email to the NFG secretariat via . The cancellation is only official once you have received a confirmation letter or email.
