Frequently asked questions from NFG care providers

Veel gestelde vragen van NFG-hulpverleners - gesprek met een therapeut

On this page, you will find an overview of frequently asked questions that NFG healthcare professionals regularly ask regarding the most important statutory and quality requirements within practice: from Basic Medical Knowledge (MBK) and Basic Psychosocial Knowledge (PSBK) to the WGBO, the Wkkgz, and the Wtza. Click on a topic below to view the corresponding questions and answers.

Basic Medical Knowledge (MBK) and Basic Psychosocial Knowledge (PSBK)

Many questions concern when MBK and/or PSBK are mandatory, which courses are recognized for this, and how you can pursue further training. For more background, please also view the page. training requirements.

WGBO: rights and obligations regarding the client file

The Medical Treatment Agreement Act (WGBO) regulates, among other things, the duty to inform, the maintenance of a file, the retention period, and the right of access for clients. Below, we answer the most frequently asked questions about this.

Wkkgz: quality, complaints and disputes

The Healthcare Quality, Complaints and Disputes Act (Wkkgz) sets requirements for a complaints officer and a dispute resolution body. Also read the extensive page about the Wkkgz for more explanation.

Wtza: admission as a healthcare provider

Together, these four topics form the basis of responsible and high-quality care provision within the NFG. Whether you have just become a member or have been working as a recognized practitioner for years, it is good to periodically check whether your practice still meets the current requirements regarding training, record-keeping, and the complaints procedure.

For example, the frequently asked questions on this page help you quickly gain insight into the most important legal obligations, without having to sift through all the regulations yourself.

We regularly update these frequently asked questions based on changes in legislation and questions received from our members, so that the information remains current for all NFG practitioners.

Do you have any additions or suggestions for this page? Please feel free to let us know via the secretariat.

Whether you have been registered with the NFG for years or have only recently become a member, these frequently asked questions provide a handy starting point to check whether your practice meets all current requirements.

The NFG attaches great value to the quality and professionalism of its members. By complying with the requirements regarding MBK/PSBK, the WGBO, the Wkkgz, and the Wtza, you protect not only your clients but also yourself as an independent entrepreneur. A well-maintained file, a clear duty to inform, and a proper complaints procedure prevent misunderstandings and ensure trust between you and your client.

The Healthcare Providers Admission Act (Wtza) determines when a notification obligation applies to new healthcare providers. You can find more information about the notification obligation on the website of the National Government. Below you will also find the most important frequently asked questions and answers about this topic.

Basic Medical Knowledge (MBK) / Basic Psychosocial Knowledge

For registration in the VPMW professional group, you must have PSBK. For registration in the VIG, you must have both PSBK and MBK. If you are a haptotherapist or a psychomotor therapist, you will be registered in the VPMW professional group, but you may choose between PSBK or MBK. Combined training is, of course, always acceptable (provided it meets the PLATO attainment targets and has SNRO or CPION accreditation).

These courses grant exemption for PSBK or MBK. For registration in the VPMW professional group, you must have PSBK. For registration in the VIG professional group, you must have both MBK and PSBK. Haptotherapists and Psychomotor therapists may choose between MBK or PSBK.

PSBK and MBK courses accredited according to the PLATO standard by SNRO or CPION are recognized. You can find an overview of these on the websites of the accreditation institutes:

- SNRO

- CPION

Although the Psychosocial Therapist/Psychosocial Worker training program at Academie Gradatim holds SNRO accreditation, the PSBK component of this program is not separately accredited. After the guidelines regarding PSBK were issued to the various training institutes, Academie Gradatim could have applied for accreditation for this. Unfortunately, this did not happen.

This means that students from Academie Gradatim still need to receive separate additional training for PSBK.

Hapto- and Psychomotor therapists may demonstrate either PSBK or MBK.

Hapto- and Psychomotor therapists may demonstrate either PSBK or MBK.

Coaches registered in our Coach Register do not require a PSBK diploma (or exemption). After all, PSBK is a requirement of health insurers. Our Coach Register is not recognized by health insurers, and coaching is never reimbursed by health insurers.

If you are registered in the VPMW or VIG professional group, annual PSBK (or possibly MBK) refresher training is mandatory. here.

WGBO

The WGBO (Medical Treatment Agreement Act) regulates the rights and obligations of clients and healthcare providers in the healthcare sector. The Act stipulates, among other things, that therapists must provide good care, properly inform clients, and handle privacy and patient records with care.

As a therapist, you must inform the client in an understandable way about:

  • The diagnosis or problem assessment.
  • The goal of the treatment.
  • Treatment options (including doing nothing).
  • Risks and side effects.
  • Costs and expensive.
  • Outlook and expectations.

The client must have sufficient information to be able to give **informed consent**.

The client must **consent** to the treatment **after** he/she has been well informed.

Consent can:

  • Be in writing (preferably for high-risk or invasive treatment).
  • To be verbal.
  • Being silent (during routine actions).

The client may withdraw the consent at any time.

The file must contain at least:

  • Data relevant to good care.
  • Treatment reports and evaluations.
  • Correspondence (e.g. with the general practitioner).
  • Client consent.
  • Particulars or incidents.
  • Diagnostic data, if applicable.

Notes that are **purely for yourself** (internal thoughts) or annotations do *not* belong in the formal file.

The statutory retention period is **20 years**, unless:

  • A different statutory time limit applies, or
  • is important for client or therapist to keep longer;
  • a client requests destruction pursuant to the GDPR.

  • The client himself.
  • An authorized representative (with written permission).
  • Parents/guardians for children under 12 years of age.
  • The young person themselves and parents together between 12 and 16 years old.
  • From age 16: only the young person themselves.

The therapist may block sections that violate the privacy of others.

Only when:

1. The client gives explicit consent, or;

2. there is a legal obligation (e.g. infectious diseases), or;

3. there is a serious danger to the client or the environment (breaking professional secrecy is sometimes permitted in such cases).

Recording consent in the file is mandatory.

  • Right to information.
  • Right to access and a copy of the file.
  • Right to correction or supplementation.
  • Right to destruction of (parts of) the file.
  • Right to refuse treatment.
  • Right to privacy and professional secrecy.

You must follow this unless:

  • it is contrary to good care, or;
  • a legal obligation applies to retain data.

Always request written confirmation of the request.

  • 0–12 years: parents/guardian decide. The child is involved at his/her level.
  • 12–16 years: both parents and the child must give consent. In the event of serious disagreements, the child decides if he/she can accurately assess what is required.
  • 16 years and older: treated as an adult.

The WGBO applies to all healthcare providers who perform independent medical or paramedical acts, such as:

  • Psychologists and psychotherapists.
  • Physiotherapists.
  • Occupational therapists.
  • Nurses.
  • Complementary (psychosocial) therapists.

  • Providing good and safe care.
  • Inform the client in an understandable way.
  • Maintain the file carefully.
  • Ensuring privacy.
  • Observe professional secrecy.
  • Request consent for treatment.
  • Acting professionally in accordance with guidelines and standards.

Professional secrecy applies unless...

If in doubt, consult a colleague, professional association, or legal expert. Document your assessment in the file.

Not mandatory, **but strongly recommended**, because:

  • It provides clarity regarding expectations.
  • It offers legal certainty.
  • It prevents disputes regarding invoices and payment terms.
  • Supports compliance with the WGBO.

Wkkgz

The Wkkgz applies to everyone who provides care:

  • Self-employed therapists (ZZP)
  • Healthcare institutions
  • Complementary/alternative therapists, if they provide care
  • Also non-contracted healthcare providers

  • Being affiliated with a recognized complaints officer
  • Being affiliated with a recognized dispute resolution body
  • An internal complaints procedure to have
  • Keeping track of incidents/reports (MIC/MIM)
  • Working according quality requirements (e.g. professional guidelines, record keeping)
  • Be transparent with clients regarding rates, treatment, and the complaints procedure

The complaints officer assists clients in submitting and discussing complaints. He/she attempts to mediate between client and therapist without the matter immediately becoming legal.

If the complaint cannot be resolved within your practice, the client can turn to an independent dispute resolution body. This body can:

  • make a binding ruling
  • possibly award compensation

Membership is mandatory.

You need clients beforehand and clearly inform, for example via:

  • your website
  • brochure in practice
  • treatment agreement
This states, among other things, how to file a complaint and with which organizations you are affiliated.

Yes, you must record incidents internally (MIC/MIM).
Serious incidents (“calamities resulting in serious injury or death”) must be reported to the IGJ (Healthcare and Youth Inspectorate).

KMS stands for

Quality Management System (QMS), which is mandatory according to the Healthcare Quality, Complaints and Disputes Act (Wkkgz). A QMS is a system of agreements, policies, and measures to ensure the quality of care and comply with laws and regulations. Healthcare providers, both institutions and self-employed professionals, must have a QMS to deliver reliable care.

What is a QMS and why is it mandatory?
  • What it is: A QMS includes documentation such as a manual, guidelines, and reports, designed to manage and improve the quality of care.
  • Obligation: The Wkkgz requires all healthcare providers (such as hospitals, general practitioners, and physiotherapists) to have a Quality Management System (QMS) so that they provide responsible care, have complaints procedures in place, and comply with the law.
  • Goal: The system ensures reliable and safe care, helps with compliance with laws, increases patient and employee satisfaction, and encourages continuous improvement through a Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle.
Application
  • For whom: All healthcare providers, including independent professionals such as freelancers, fall under the Wkkgz.
  • Enforcement: The Healthcare Providers Access Act (Wtza) applies to all healthcare providers within the meaning of the Wkkgz.
  • Other requirements: In addition to the Wkkgz, a QMS can also be a requirement in municipal tenders for the Wmo.

According to the Wkkgz and WGBO, a care file must at least 20 years old be kept, unless otherwise agreed or necessary

The IGJ can:

  • give warnings
  • impose fines
  • close practices in serious cases

In addition, you run reputational and liability risks.

There are various organizations that offer this, such as:

  • Via the NFG
  • independent recognized dispute resolution bodies
  • Wkkgz packages via service providers

Wtza

On January 1, 2022, the Healthcare Providers Admission Act (Wtza) enters into force. This Act introduces new admission rules for healthcare and youth care providers. As a result, a number of things change for both new and existing healthcare providers, and they will, for example, face a reporting obligation*.

It is therefore important that all providers of care and youth care prepare thoroughly. The main objective of the entry rules is to improve the quality of care. The Health and Youth Care Inspectorate (IGJ) monitors this. In addition, the rules ensure greater awareness among new providers.

The reporting obligation entails that new care providers (before the start of care provision) and existing care providers (within six months after the entry into force of the Wtza) must register once, so that these providers are visible for the purpose of risk-based supervision by the Health and Youth Care Inspectorate (IGJ). The reporting obligation is also intended to make new care providers more aware of the national (quality) requirements set for care provision and their responsibility in this regard.

New care and youth care providers must register as of January 1, 2022. This registration allows the IGJ to gain a clearer picture of all providers. At the same time, providers are made more aware of existing (quality) requirements through targeted communication.

For existing care and youth care providers, a transition period of six months applies after the Wtza has entered into force. For many existing care providers, reporting is not necessary (although you must comply with the Wtza). See also the answer to our question "I am already listed in the National Register of Care Providers (LRZa), do I still need to report?".

You can find all information about the reporting obligation on the website. accession zorgaanbieders.nl

Prior to submitting the report, you are required to be able to demonstrate that you meet the maximum of 15 conditions. See elsewhere within this FAQ which conditions these are.

This question cannot be answered unequivocally. The reporting obligation applies in any case to new healthcare providers.

Were you already listed in the Lrza before January 1, 2022, and are you still listed there as a healthcare provider? Then you do not need to register again.
Did you join the LRZa as a healthcare provider (again) after January 1, 2022? Then you *must* register.

See also the site entreezorgaanbieders.nl

No, probably not.

The permit requirement applies to:

  • Healthcare institutions that provide (or arrange for the provision of) medical specialist care.
  • Healthcare providers who provide (or arrange for the provision of) care as described in the Health Insurance Act or the Long-Term Care Act

Click here for more information and read here regarding the exceptions to the permit requirement.

You can apply for eHerkenning (minimum level 2+) from 6 suppliers recognized by the central government. Only they are authorized to provide eHerkenning. On this site you will find all the information.

On February 15, 2022, the tax court ruled that the Tax and Customs Administration cannot compel an entrepreneur to purchase eHerkenning for filing tax returns. This is because eHerkenning lacks a legal basis. That is to say, there is no law mandating it; there is only a ministerial regulation. In the judge's opinion, that is not sufficient.

Tax law is, in principle, always individual law. This means that a ruling by the tax court does not create a precedent.

Since there is no legal basis, this means that EHerkenning (for registering with the LRZa) cannot be made mandatory either. However, legal proceedings would first have to be conducted regarding this. The NFG is investigating this and will take the matter to court if necessary.

If you are a healthcare provider providing care as defined in the Wkkgz, you must comply with the obligations arising from the Wtza. For NFG register members, the Wtza applies if you are registered in the VPMW/VIG or OTR professional groups. For coaches, this question is less straightforward to answer. Generally speaking, if you coach in the healthcare sector, you will also have to comply with the requirements of the Wtza.

We occasionally receive the comment that the Wkkgz/Wtza and/or having a Quality Management System (QMS) do not apply to sole practitioners/small practices. You might also want to take a look here: https://www.zzp-erindezorg.nl/blog/wkkgz-wtza-en-kwaliteitssysteem-zzp-zorg-uitleg

The Wtza is separate from NFG registration (or registration with any professional organization whatsoever) and is also separate from reimbursements by health insurers.

The Wtza applies to all healthcare providers within the meaning of the Healthcare Quality, Complaints and Disputes Act (Wkkgz), namely institutions and healthcare providers working independently.
Healthcare providers who provide care within the meaning of the Long-Term Care Act (Wlz), the Health Insurance Act (Zvw), and who provide 'other care' (such as alternative care) fall under the Wkkgz and therefore also under the Wtza.

These are the 15 requirements or conditions that you, as a healthcare provider, must meet;

  • Report (safe) incidents
  • Reporting code for domestic violence/child abuse
  • Complaints procedure
  • Client participation
  • Care records and care plan
  • Available and expert staff
  • Obligation to ensure and declaration of conduct (VOG)
  • Agreements with subcontractors and volunteers
  • Reserved and high-risk procedures
  • Training plan
  • Exclusion criteria
  • Involuntary care or coercion
  • Medication policy
  • Administrative, billing, and information requirements and good governance
  • Quality Management System (QMS).

NFG register members will meet most conditions (or they do not apply), except for the KMS, which is also directly the most impactful requirement.

The care plan is an electronic (or written) document in which agreements regarding the client's care are recorded. The care plan forms the basis for the care to be provided. The care plan clarifies what the client can expect from the care provider. The care plan can help the client maintain control over their care. This can concern major as well as minor matters. For example, which goals the client wishes to achieve, whether family members also provide assistance, and what exactly that assistance entails.

The care plan takes the client's wishes into account, and the client must express his or her expectations regarding the therapy. Naturally, it must be realistic.

A care plan can replace the treatment plan if you are already using one. You can also combine the treatment plan and the care plan into a single document. You are therefore allowed to create your own layout. The NFG has made a sample care plan available online. You can find this under Downloads on your personal NFG page.

Yes, you can find this under the blue "Downloads" button after logging in to our website. You will find a sample Care Plan among the sample forms.

Yes, the WTZA states the following:

Article 2.4
A healthcare provider classified as a sole proprietorship* makes public financial statements structured in accordance with Appendix 3.

Appendix 3 states:

Driven by the societal and political desire to increase transparency in the healthcare sector, small healthcare providers are also required to account for their activities annually by publishing an annual report. In deviation from the general rule, sole proprietorships must disclose a number of financial ratios that provide insight into their business operations as part of their financial accountability. A financial ratio is a proportion composed of financial and economic data from the balance sheet and statement of income and expenses of sole proprietorships. The reason for not mandating a balance sheet and statement of income and expenses for sole proprietorships* is to prevent the owner from having to make their income public for everyone to see.

To get an impression of the financial health of your healthcare company over the past year, please complete the following indicators.

  • Profitability
  • Liquidity
  • Solvency
  • Personnel cost ratio
  • Healthcare revenue ratio
  • Budget ratio

A lot of information can be found on the internet from parties who believe that the annual report does not apply to self-employed professionals* (the law does not recognize the term self-employed). We would like to draw your attention to the brochure of the National Association of General Practitioners (LHV). The LHV has also drawn the same conclusion as the NFG regarding the annual accountability report.

We explain the difference between freelancers, self-employed professionals, and sole proprietorships in another question within this FAQ.

The terms freelancer, self-employed professional, and sole proprietorship are all used to characterize small business owners. A freelancer is almost always a self-employed professional, but a self-employed professional is not always a freelancer. Most freelancers have a sole proprietorship, but not all of them. And by no means does every sole proprietorship involve a freelancer.

Freelancer or sole proprietorship?

Most freelancers have chosen the legal form of a sole proprietorship. This means that the freelancer is the founder and sole owner of their business.

However, the terms 'freelancer' and 'sole proprietorship' are not interchangeable:

  • There are freelancers who opt for a different legal form, such as the BV, VOF, or professional partnership.
  • There are sole proprietorships run by entrepreneurs who are not freelancers, for example because the sole proprietorship employs staff or is active in retail.

Freelancer or self-employed?

ZZP stands for Zelfstandige Zonder Personeel. It is a term that originally comes from the tax authorities.

Freelancers usually refer to professionals in business services. Freelancers are generally equated with self-employed persons without employees (ZZP). This is largely correct: freelancers typically do not employ staff, are specialized in their field, and offer their knowledge and experience in the form of services. Moreover, they usually work alone and invest little or nothing in business premises and assets.

Self-employment is a broader concept

The difference lies in the fact that the term 'zzp'er' covers more types (and hybrid forms) of entrepreneurs than the term 'freelancer'. The 'zzp'ers' include members of professional groups that are certainly not associated with freelance practice (hairdressers, taxi drivers). Moreover, 'zzp'ers' are also found in sectors where freelancers generally do not operate, such as construction and transport. 'ZZp'ers' also occur in healthcare; one should think, for example, of nurses who temporarily hire themselves out to healthcare institutions.

Not all self-employed people without employees are freelancers.

A self-employed person who runs a tobacco shop, for example, without employees, is not considered a freelancer by official bodies (ministries, trade unions, MKB, UWV). There are a number of criteria that a freelancer must meet. These are vague; a clear definition is not yet available. The EIM (Economic Institute for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises) refers in its research report to a group of self-employed persons who "operates in the twilight zone between self-employment (entrepreneurship) and (temporary) employment."

Furthermore, this report shows that the following characteristics are generally attributed to the self-employed professional (although these are not conclusive):

  • Has no staff.
  • I am not in retail (in that case, you are a real estate owner/tenant!).
  • Has multiple clients and is paid per assignment.
  • Has no or only a limited form of its own business premises.
  • Performs work that is normally usually performed in an employment relationship.
  • Do not perform the work on your own initiative, only after receiving an order.
  • Takes responsibility for his or her own work.
  • Is largely limited to contributing knowledge and skills in one's own field.
  • Does not engage in customer acquisition, or only to a very limited extent.

So what is a sole proprietorship?

With a sole proprietorship, you own the business alone. For example, if you practice an independent profession (such as a general practitioner or therapist) or if you are the sole owner of the company. Therefore, you can also have a sole proprietorship if you employ staff.

If you meet the requirements for entrepreneurship, you are an entrepreneur for income tax purposes. You can then make use of the special schemes for entrepreneurs, such as the self-employed deduction and the start-up deduction. You are therefore subject to VAT, or you have obtained an exemption from VAT liability. A sole proprietorship is thus a legal form.

Am I self-employed as a therapist then?

Most likely not, because you do not meet the above criteria. Especially since you registered with the Chamber of Commerce as a sole proprietorship. That is logical, because the tax authorities, for example, only look at your legal form. The reason many start-ups choose a sole proprietorship is because this legal form is easy to set up. You only need to register with the Chamber of Commerce. Moreover, you can benefit from interesting tax advantages, including the start-up deduction, self-employed deduction, and SME profit exemption. Furthermore, the administration is also quite simple.

A self-employed professional works from home or at the client's location. As a therapist, you have your own practice space at your disposal. The difference between self-employment and a sole proprietorship is therefore that self-employment is a concept, whereas a sole proprietorship is a legal form.

The reference point is the last day of the year. By then, you must be able to account for the 6 points mentioned for the preceding year;

  • Profitability
  • Liquidity
  • Solvency
  • Personnel cost ratio
  • Healthcare revenue ratio
  • Budget ratio

NFG register members will comply with all points of the Wtza, with the exception of the QMS (Quality Management System) (see point 9 below).

  1. Certificate of Conduct. That is arranged; you have it through the NFG.
  2. Reserved acts. You can answer 'No' to this question. After all, complementary healthcare providers are not permitted to perform reserved acts in any case; unless, of course, you have the (BIG) authorization to do so.
  3. Reporting incidents safely. This is a noteworthy point, as it is regulated under the Wkkgz. The NFG has a secure incident register in its system that you can use.
  4. Complaints procedure. This is arranged centrally for you via the NFG. You therefore do not need to do anything yourself; unless, of course, you do not participate in the NFG's collective scheme. That is your choice. If so, you should have arranged this through another party. See also our FAQ section "Other" for more information about the NFG complaints procedure.
  5. Reporting Code for Domestic Violence. The NFG has also arranged everything for you regarding this in the past. Formally, under the Wtza and the Wkkgz, you are required to have a protocol. You can find the protocol under your personal account (under the “Downloads” tab). Details of our domestic violence/child abuse liaison officer can be found on our website. She can assist you with advice and practical help during this process.
  6. Invoicing and submitting claims. If you work for health insurers and/or the WMo, your invoice must already meet mandatory requirements. This is therefore already well taken care of. You can find more information about proper claim submission on our site under FAQ (Health Insurance Questions).
  7. Informing your patients. As an NFG register member, you are required to provide accurate and timely information. This includes, at a minimum, information about the various treatment options and associated costs. It also includes, for example, information about your applicable waiting times, so that patients know where and how quickly they can be seen. We verify this during site visits, among other things.
  8. You must have a good administrative system in place in which you can record care plans and files. This system must, of course, comply with the GDPR.
  9. KMS

In collaboration with QualityinCare the NFG facilitates a digital QMS.

QMS stands for Quality Management System. A QMS is a structure within which you have documented everything, ensuring the safeguarding and improvement of your business operations. All business processes related to quality fall under quality management. Within a quality management system, you therefore map out various aspects such as procedures, roles, forms to be used, training plans, etc. A PDCA cycle (Plan-Do-Check-Act), just like an audit, is inextricably linked to a QMS.

There are business units that state that a QMS is not necessary for a sole proprietor/small business. This information is incorrect. You might also want to take a look here; https://www.zzp-erindezorg.nl/blog/wkkgz-wtza-en-kwaliteitssysteem-zzp-zorg-uitleg

You can find all information about the NFG KMS on the website. QualityinCare.
QualityinCare has its own YouTube channel. There you will find all kinds of videos with more information and explanation.

You can find the answer on the website. QualityinCare

On the QualityinCare website, there is a introductory video, so that you get an impression of what QualityinCare's QMS looks like.

Yes, this option is available subject to conditions. Please read the information below carefully.

We realize that obtaining a KMS requires both a financial and a time investment on your part. We can therefore grant a 3-year exemption from general continuing education.

If you are registered in the VPMW or VIG professional group (and your clients therefore receive reimbursements from health insurers), then one day per year of accreditation remains PSBK/MBK refresher training It is mandatory. We are not permitted to grant an exemption for this part.
Participation in at least 12 hours of peer supervision and/or supervision per year remains mandatory, as does reading two professional books per year.

The exemption must be taken in 3 consecutive years from the issue date of the KMS certificate. If you had already scheduled training in 2022, you may also enter the certificate in 2023, 2024, and 2025.

The exemption also applies if you choose a KMS from a party other than the NFG. But watch out! You will only receive the exemption if you can provide official proof of the QMS you have implemented. In the case of the QMS of QualityinCare You will receive a certificate after entering all the requested information. Only this certificate entitles you to the exemption. Therefore, the invoice from QualityinCare does not entitle you to an exemption.

Please note: a QMS applies to an entire organization. If multiple individuals within your organization are registered with the NFG, the exemption applies to the person responsible for setting up, maintaining, and managing the QMS.

For new healthcare providers, a reporting obligation applies as of January 1, 2022. For existing healthcare providers, this is 6 months later. If you fail to do so, you are “in violation.” What exactly that means cannot yet be said with certainty. However, you should bear in mind that this could mean that health insurers or municipalities may accuse you of acting 'unlawfully'. As a result, you may have to repay (part of) your income. There are numerous examples of this under the Health Insurance Act, but by now also under the Social Support Act (WMO) and the Youth Act. And that is separate from any other sanctions or measures that may be imposed by the Inspectorate. In short, it is a risk for you and your practice that should not be underestimated.

The Wtza applies to all healthcare providers within the meaning of the Healthcare Quality, Complaints and Disputes Act (Wkkgz). This therefore includes institutions as well as healthcare professionals working independently.

But are you a healthcare provider as a Coach? The government provides the following definition of the term “healthcare provider”;

A healthcare professional is someone who provides care professionally. This includes not only professionals registered under the BIG Act, but also, for example, caregivers and support workers. Practice support staff are also healthcare professionals.

See; https://www.toetredingzorgaanbieders.nl/wat-betekent-de-wtza/vragen-en-antwoorden-wtza

For example, the Wtza does not apply to Job and Work Coaches. However, the Wtza will apply to most NFG coaches.

Please note: your SBI code at the Chamber of Commerce registration does not determine whether or not you must comply with the legislation. Your activities determine this. See also the questions in our FAQ regarding SBI codes.

The Wtza applies to all healthcare providers within the meaning of the Healthcare Quality, Complaints and Disputes Act (Wkkgz). This therefore includes institutions as well as healthcare professionals working independently.

With the introduction of the Wkkgz, the idea arose to link the Wkkgz to a group of healthcare entrepreneurs in the Chamber of Commerce database. This helps to clarify whether you are required to comply with the Wkkgz.

In the brochure “Do I fall under the Wkkgz?” you can read which companies fall under this in any case.

This does not mean that if you have a different SBI code, you do not fall under this law. The link between the Wkkgz and the Wtza is merely supportive but certainly not decisive. After all, the Wkkgz does not mention the SBI and Chamber of Commerce in its legal text. The SBI categories within the Chamber of Commerce are not decisive for your obligations regarding the Wkkgz/Wtza. Your own activities are.

Without an AGB code, a health insurer will not pay out. The NFG welcome letter explains how to apply for the code. You can also always obtain information about this from the NFG secretariat.

You are not registered with the umbrella organization

The health insurer VGZ requires registration with the umbrella organization in addition to registration with a professional organization. On the reimbursement overview You can see which health insurers require this additional registration. Registration with the umbrella organization can only be arranged by the NFG. If you wish to do this, an email to the NFG secretariat will suffice. Always include your personal AGB code and your practice AGB code.

You have not listed a performance code, or an incorrect one, on your invoice.

All health insurers require the inclusion of a performance code on your invoice. Code 24504 (other psychosocial therapy) is the most commonly used code for NFG register members. You can find a list via the Vektis website. 054 download(list of performance codes for other sectors). Naturally, the performance code must accurately reflect the care you provide. In addition, you must be authorized to use that performance code. Health insurers review your registration with Vektis (qualifications and accreditations).

NB! Salland Reimburses psychological care only under performance code 24500 (Psychotherapy). Under code 24504, they only reimburse Neurofeedback treatments. Salland does not reimburse any creative arts therapies.

Also Silver Cross As of January 1, 2025, they will no longer recognize performance code 24504. With them, too, you can use performance code 24500 when providing psychosocial care.

On the Zilveren Kruis website, you can read which performance codes they recognize; https://www.zilverenkruis.nl/zorgaanbieders/zorgsoort/alternatieve-geneeswijzen. Zilveren Kruis does not reimburse care for children/young people.OK, VGZ will no longer recognize performance code 24504 from 2026.

You can claim psychosocial assistance under performance code 24500.

Naturally, the service code you use must accurately reflect the care provided, and you must also be authorized to perform the service in question. Your registration with the NFG and Vektis is the guiding factor in this regard.

Your Vektis registration does not contain the correct information.

Health insurers are increasingly looking at the Vektis registration, and the correct mention of accreditation (NFG) is important in this regard. You can read more about this via this link.

You must also have the correct qualification with Vektis. Most NFG register members hold qualification 9037; "Psychosocial Care Provider". Creative therapists hold qualification 9025; "Art Therapy" and haptotherapists hold qualification 9011; "Hapthotherapy".

By now, you can adjust/correct your details at Vektis yourself in the My Vektis environment
The NFG can also add accreditations at Vektis to the web portal. Should this be necessary, please contact the NFG Secretariat.

Your invoice does not meet the conditions
Handwritten notes (in whole or in part) are not accepted.

Your invoice must contain the following information:

- Name and address details of the practice and healthcare provider(s); state the address as known to Vektis (www.agbcode.nl).
- Name and address details of the insured, incl. date of birth and client insurance number.
- Date of treatment; state each date separately.
- Practitioner details (if multiple healthcare providers work in a practice).
- National performance code** and brief description of the treatment, for example psychosocial consultation.
- Your full personal AGB code. If you have multiple AGB codes, only one code may appear on the invoice.
- Your full practice AGB code.
- Your NFG registration number.
- The professional group in which you are registered (VPMW or VIG, see your NFG license).
- The NFG logo (see "downloads" on your personal NFG page).
- Your registration number from the umbrella organization RBCZ or NAP (if registered there).
- Logo of the umbrella organization RBCZ or NAP (if registered there).

Here You will find a sample invoice as handed over to us by Zilveren Kruis.

** You may these codes (list number 054, other sectors) only use when they do justice to the assistance you provide.

The client has not submitted the invoice correctly/completely to the health insurer.
Clients usually submit the invoice to the health insurer themselves and take a photo or scan of the invoice to do so. Invoices are often processed fully automatically by health insurers. If the photo/scan is unclear or if information is missing from the photo/scan (see above for the information that must be included on your invoice), the invoice will be rejected.

The data at Vektis, NFG and/or the umbrella organization are not the same.
Always ensure that your details at the NFG, Vektis, and the umbrella organization (if registered there) are consistent. You can make changes to your private and practice details yourself on your personal NFG page.

Budget used
There is a maximum annual amount for the alternative care budget. Once this amount has been fully paid out to the client, the health insurer will no longer reimburse the invoice.

Your client is under 18 years old

The health insurers Zilveren Kruis and (from 2026) VGZ do not reimburse psychosocial care for children under the age of 18.

The NFG has its own insurance committee that is in annual contact with all health insurers. Every year, we try to obtain accreditation from as many health insurers as possible. This is a very important part of our work.

You can find an overview of the reimbursement options. here. This overview has been compiled by the NFG with the greatest possible care. The NFG accepts no liability for any inaccuracies and/or incompleteness.

As soon as the new premiums are announced (at the end of each year), this overview is updated.

No, only clients of register members registered in the VPMW or VIG professional groups are eligible for reimbursement.

Only NFG register members registered in the VPMW or VIG professional group are eligible for an AGB code. Something likely went wrong in the application procedure. The welcome letter you received from the NFG explains exactly how to apply for the (correct) AGB code and in what way. If you are unable to figure it out, please contact Vektis via www.agbcode.nl why you are not receiving a code. You can, of course, also always consult the NFG secretariat.

No, reimbursement does not follow automatically after you are registered with the NFG.

As a care provider, you must have the correct AGB code. The NFG welcome letter you receive upon registration explains exactly how to apply for this AGB code or how to update/add to your current AGB code. Always check whether your details at Vektis are still up to date in your own Vektis environment.

A client must always have supplementary insurance. In addition, reimbursement depends in part on the insurance package the client has chosen. Furthermore, there is always a maximum budget or a maximum number of consultations associated with the insurance package. This maximum may have already been reached, and as a care provider, you have no insight into this. It is also possible that certain forms of care (such as coaching or relationship therapy) are excluded from reimbursement.

A number of health insurers require registration with the umbrella organization in addition to NFG registration. On the reimbursement overview It is stated which health insurers require umbrella registration.

Therefore, always have the client inquire about reimbursement options themselves.

If your client is not eligible for reimbursement from their health insurer, they can submit a statement of goodwill. You can find an example of a statement of goodwill in the downloads on your personal NFG page.

Handwritten notes (in whole or in part) are no longer accepted.

- Your registration number from the umbrella organization (if registered there).
- Umbrella organization logo (if registered there).

Here You will find a sample invoice as handed over to us by Zilveren Kruis.

** You may these codes (list number 054, other sectors) should only be used when they do justice to the care you provide. Performance code 24504 (other psychosocial therapy) is the most commonly used performance code. Please note! Salland This service code recognizes only for Neurofeedback treatments. They reimburse psychological care under service code 24500 (psychotherapy).
Salland does not reimburse art therapy (performance code 24514).

As of January 1, 2025, it also recognizes Silver Cross performance code 24504 is no longer available. Therefore, for psychosocial assistance, you can use performance code 24500 (psychotherapy) at Zilveren Kruis.

Zilveren Kruis does not recognize all performance codes from the above-mentioned list. On their website you can read which performance codes are recognized.
Naturally, the service code you use must accurately reflect the care provided, and you must also be authorized to perform the service in question. Your registration with the NFG and Vektis is the guiding factor in this regard.

Check our website for this. Here is the direct link. link.

You can check the national list of performance codes to see which performance code corresponds to the treatment you are providing. You can find the most recent lists on the website of Vektis. You need to look at list 054 “Performance code list other sectors” there. Please note! 054 is therefore not a performance code, but a list number.

Psychosocial care is reimbursed under performance code 24500 (Psychotherapy treatment). This is an alternative performance code for psychosocial care and therefore does not represent Psychotherapy as provided by Psychotherapists. Performance code 24504 (other psychosocial therapy) is recognized by fewer and fewer health insurers, and we therefore advise against using this code.

Salland only reimburses neurofeedback treatments under performance code 24504. Salland does not reimburse creative therapy/occupational therapy (performance code 24514).

Relationship therapy may not be billed under performance code 24504, with the exception of the health insurer CZ and its labels.

Zilveren Kruis does not recognize all performance codes from the above-mentioned list. On their website You can read which performance codes are recognized. Zilveren Kruis and VGZ do not reimburse care for children under the age of 18.

Naturally, the service code you use must accurately reflect the assistance provided, and you must also be authorized to perform the service in question. Your registration with the NFG (see your NFG license and welcome email) is the guiding factor in this regard.

Only curative care can be reimbursed by health insurers through supplementary insurance packages. Coaching, guidance, preventive care, and relationship therapy are not reimbursed by health insurers. Only the health insurer CZ reimburses relationship therapy, and performance code 24504 may be used for this (see also FAQ regarding performance codes). The other health insurers explicitly state that this performance code may not be used for relationship therapy.

We advise against making any commitment to your client regarding possible reimbursements. You can refer your client to his/her health insurer and to the reimbursement overview that is stated on our website.

Client questions

You can find information about this at this page.

Always investigate the reason for rejection first. There can be many;

  • your healthcare provider is not (or no longer) registered with the NFG;
  • Your care provider is not registered with the umbrella organization;
  • the invoice does not meet the requirements of the health insurer;
  • you do not have supplementary insurance;
  • the health insurer does not recognize the NFG;
  • the service (treatment) falls outside the reimbursement policy of the health insurer;
  • The maximum budget for alternative care has been used up.

On our website, you will find information about reimbursement options. Here You can read, among other things, which health insurers do and do not recognize the NFG. You can also see for which health insurers it is necessary for the healthcare provider to be affiliated with the umbrella organization.

See if you can reach a solution with your care provider. If not, the care provider can always contact the NFG Secretariat.

Questions regarding the visitation

We will invite you for an appointment by email. In this email, you will see the dates and times that the visitor is available in your region.

The intention is that you make a choice here yourself. If you have not received an email, please check your personal page under the 'Visitor Appointment' tab.

Our visitors try to schedule as many dates as possible in advance on alternating days. Because our visitors often have their own practice, it is possible that they never make visits on a specific day.

If this happens to be exactly the day you can free up time for a visit, we advise you to contact the NFG. We will then try to find a solution together.

If you have clicked on the blue link for the day and time, you will automatically receive an email containing the confirmation.

Please check if the visiting address (practice address) in the email is correct. If not, we ask you to contact the NFG. The email also contains the link to the questionnaire, which we request you complete as soon as possible.

It is possible that a visitor is absent for an extended period and has not entered new dates on which he/she is available.

We do not want to overwhelm our registered members with emails, which is why we have chosen to list dates on the personal page under the tab: visitor appointment.

For the contributions, we would like to refer you to our website: https://mijn.de-nfg.nl/bijdragen.html The contribution to the costs covers the (travel) expenses of the visitor and the building/maintenance of the planning system (IT).

Passing on visitation costs is very common within our industry, and due to the extensive automation we have managed to implement, our costs are significantly lower than those of other professional organizations.

After the visitor has come to your home, you can expect to receive the invoice by email. Please note: it may end up in your spam folder.

The NFG visits its registered members once every five years.

Because you completed the questionnaire before the visit and the visitor reviews it in advance, a visit need not last longer than half an hour / a maximum of 45 minutes.

If you have a report of a site visit by a site visit agency recognized by us (which is no older than three years), we can accept it. We would appreciate receiving a copy of the report to keep in your file.

Unfortunately, this is not possible. The questionnaire covers the following topics: Accessibility, accommodation, provision of information, treatment (files, evaluation, invoices, etc.).

You can find these under the downloads on your personal page.

Once you have made an appointment, you will receive an extensive questionnaire. This also serves as preparation for the visit. The visitor will go through the questions with you and indicate the points of attention.

After the visitor has paid, he will record his findings on the questionnaire you completed. You will receive this digitally after approximately one to two weeks.

To keep the costs of site visits as low as possible, we work with an automated system in which a logical route is planned for the visitor.

The cancellation of an appointment is therefore very inconvenient for the visitor. The appointment can only be cancelled no later than 48 hours in advance for very urgent reasons.

We request that you contact the NFG directly. Please see our for this. contact page.

If you are unable to receive a visitor, we advise you to contact the NFG. Together, we will look for a solution.

We will discuss the questionnaire that was sent to you in advance with you. This list cannot be viewed in advance.

The topics covered include:
Accessibility, accommodation, provision of information, processing (files, evaluation, invoices, etc.).

Questions regarding re-registration

We have listed all the rules for you. Here You can read how to apply for re-registration, when you need to do so, what training requirements we have, etc. etc. It is a lot of information, but we recommend reading through it regularly so that you are not faced with any surprises if we do not approve your application (immediately).

Within the game rules, you will also find information about the mandatory PSBK (possibly MBK) refresher training. This specially accredited continuing education is only a requirement if you are registered in the VPMW or VIG professional group. This is because it is a continuing education requirement of the health insurers. We also address this continuing education further on in this FAQ.

The NFG has developed a document for this purpose. You can find this document as a download in the members' section of our website. Of course, you can also always request this form from the NFG secretariat ().

The staff at the NFG secretariat regularly check the activities you have submitted, including the supporting documents. Once approved, you will see a green "check mark". If you see an orange check mark, it means that we have not yet checked the supporting document. If you see a red cross, it means that the document or activity has been rejected. Hovering your mouse over the red cross will show you the reason for the rejection.

No, you can calculate the points proportionally.
Always check the validity period of your NFG license. Your re-registration must be received by us on December 15 preceding the stated validity date.

Every NFG register member must submit an application for re-registration once every two years. Everyone does this at the same time, no later than December 15 (2024, 2026, etc.). Even if you have not yet been registered for two years, you must submit the application before the aforementioned date. You may, however, calculate the required number of points on a pro rata basis. We strongly advise you not to wait until the final submission date to apply, but to consistently enter the activities you have followed throughout the two years. This way, you cannot forget, supporting documents cannot get lost, and you spread the administrative burden for yourself and the NFG employee.

The intention is that you earn the required points per year as explained in the game rules. We review in 2-year blocks, e.g., 2023/2024 and 2025/2026, etc. Within this block, you may shift points around if necessary. So, for example, you *may* compensate for a point deficit in 2023 with a surplus in 2024. However, you *may not* carry over a surplus in 2024 to the next block (2025/2026). At the end of the block, we review the activities you have entered and you will receive a new license. After this, this block will be closed by us.

In the game rules It is clearly explained which supporting documents we accept, but also which documents we do not.

For activities (training, peer supervision, supervision), it must be clear that you were present.

Training:
Certificates, diplomas, or a signed attendance statement from the organizing body suffice as proof of participation in training. We cannot approve invoices, proof of payment, admission tickets, program booklets, or self-drafted statements.

Supervision/Peer supervision
Supervision can be proven by a signed statement from the supervisor. An invoice from the supervisor is also sufficient, provided it is clear from the invoice that it concerns supervision. The supporting documents must show how many hours of supervision you received per year. You can find a form that you can use for this on your personal NFG page under the "Downloads" tab.

Peer supervision can be proven by a signed statement from a peer supervision partner. It must be clear how many hours of peer supervision you have participated in per year. You can find a form for this on your personal NFG page under the "Downloads" tab.

Specialized literature
Reading professional literature is more difficult to prove. You will also receive a maximum of 2 points for this section (1 point per book), and we kindly ask you not to enter more books per year. Proof consists of proof of purchase, library loan slips, or a copy of the front and back covers of the book.

We will never approve self-drafted statements or statements without a signature. For all information, see the game rules on our website.

When you follow a course recognized by us, you "automatically" earn sufficient general training points. However, if you are registered in the VPMW or VIG professional group, you must also complete 1 day of PSBK or MBK refresher training per year (see game rules). Only if your study program grants an exemption for the PSBK or MBK course can this training count as PSBK or MBK continuing education. If this is not the case, the PSBK or MBK continuing education obligation remains in effect. We cannot grant an exemption for this component because it is a requirement of the health insurers.

For your studies, you will also need to read books, so you must meet this requirement as well. Peer supervision may also be part of the program; in that case, this can count towards the total.

To receive PE points, you must be able to provide the correct supporting documents. In this case, too, a registration certificate or proof of payment is not sufficient. Experience shows that training institutes will have no problem preparing a signed statement of participation for you. Is peer supervision part of the training? In that case, also ask for a statement showing how many hours of peer supervision you have had per year.

It is always possible that you obtain insufficient or no points in a year (e.g. in case of illness). In that case, request permission for a (partial) exemption by email. You can do this via the email address:

Always submit your application for exemption on time. The NFG can grant an exemption for a maximum of 2 years only for a valid reason. This exemption will be granted to you by email.

Despite the exemption, you will always have to submit an application for re-registration.

You must then upload the NFG email with the commitment for a (partial) exemption as supporting evidence.

A peer supervision group consists of at least 3 people, but more is always better. Are you looking for more peer supervision partners or would you like to join an existing group? You are always welcome to place a call in our Newsflash. Email a short text to info@de-nfg.nl. In this, at a minimum, state in which area you are looking for a group or peer supervision partners and how you can be reached (email, telephone, or refer to the contact details on your website).

No, you need to arrange this yourself. All affiliated members are listed by province on the NFG website. You can check which therapist in your area is affiliated with the NFG and ask them if you can join an existing peer supervision group.

If you would like to start a peer supervision group yourself, or if you have been unable to join an existing one, you can also place an advertisement in our newsletter, which we send by email to all NFG members once every two weeks (except during holiday periods). Send your advertisement to In your message, always include at least:

  • in which environment you are seeking or wish to establish a peer supervision group;
  • How you can be reached (email, telephone).

No, continuing education must be followed at least at HBO (higher professional education) level and be aimed at broadening or deepening your professional knowledge. Because this is difficult to verify with training abroad, you will in principle not receive points for this.
Only when the organizer has applied for accreditation in the Netherlands (for example with CPION, NIP, BAMW, etc.) is it possible that we will still recognize this training. Always check this with the NFG secretariat. You can find our contact details on the ""Contact page".

No, this is certainly not the case. An NFG registration is only terminated upon a written request (an email suffices). We must receive this message from you before December 1st. We can then deregister you as of January 1st of the following year.

If you have obtained too few or no points, you can submit a request for (partial) exemption. We will then discuss this with you.

Therefore, not applying for re-registration never means that you do not owe membership fees to the NFG. However, it does mean that you no longer meet our registration requirements. In the long run, this will certainly have consequences for your NFG registration.

At the general continuing education we set the following requirements;

  • The continuing education is (demonstrably) at HBO level for the deepening or broadening of professional knowledge.
  • The target group for the training is the (NFG) care provider.
  • We prefer accredited continuing education (e.g. accreditation from SNRO, SKJ, NIP). Accreditation is therefore not mandatory.
  • The training must last at least 2.5 hours. Training shorter than this will not earn any points. However, you may combine multiple shorter training sessions (e.g., lectures or webinars) to reach a minimum of 2.5 hours.
  • Proof of participation must be provided. We do not accept a registration certificate or proof of payment. We do, however, recognize a license or a statement of participation signed by the educational institution. It must be clear that you actually participated in the training.
  • In principle, we do not award points for training abroad, unless there is a Dutch accreditation that we can recognize. Inquire about this at the NFG secretariat..

For the mandatory PSBK* refresher training (only mandatory for VPMW or VIG registration) you only receive points if the course is provided by a training institute that is also authorized to offer the PSBK* course and is accredited for this by CPION or SNRO. You can read which training we recognize. here.

Haptotherapists, Psychomotor therapists, and VIG register members may also take MBK refresher training instead of PSBK refresher training.

If you are registered in the VPMW or VIG professional group, you are required to complete one day of mandatory continuing education per year in the field of PSBK (or possibly MBK). You can find all information about this here. here. Please note; this is therefore not additional training. The number of refresher training days per year remains at a minimum of 4.

This mandatory refresher training must therefore have a special PSBK or MBK accreditation from CPION or the SNRO. Also on the website of the CGO recognized PSBK/MBK refresher training is available.

If your training is not listed here or the training provider does not mention accreditation, the NFG will not accept this training as recognized PSBK/MBK continuing education.

You can, of course, always ask the training provider whether they can have the training accredited.

Questions regarding registration/membership

No, that is not necessary. You can provide two witnesses yourself. They must be adults and may also be family members. The oath will only be recognized by us if it is fully completed and signed.

You can read this on the page ""Register with NFG"If anything is still unclear, please feel free to contact us. You can find our contact details on the ""Contact page".

As soon as you have completed the registration procedure and submitted it to us, we will start reviewing it as soon as possible. Normally, you will hear from us within 2 to 3 weeks. This may take slightly longer only during holiday periods or times of extreme busyness. You can always contact the NFG Secretariat to inquire about the current processing time.

Yes, this is possible. In addition to the cost of the wall plaque (see our page ""contributions"") then there are the shipping costs. The wall plaque can be requested by sending an email to the NFG ().

For registration in the VPMW, VIG, OC-R professional groups and the Coach Register, we have been working with a fully digital registration process since early 2017. As of January 1, 2021, it is no longer possible to register in any other way.

Are you unsure whether the training courses you have completed are sufficient to become registered with the NFG? Mail Send us your full CV and you will receive a response as soon as possible. Please note that an expectation will be expressed based on your CV. The assessment committee makes the final decision and looks beyond just your diplomas. If you wish to be registered in the VIG (Department of Integral Healthcare) or VPMW (Department of Psychosocial and Social Work), you are eligible for reimbursement from health insurers. It is then important that you are trained in alternative/complementary care and are actively working in that field.

On this page all costs are listed.

As a prospective member, you will get to know the NFG. Once every two weeks (except during holiday periods), you will receive our newsletter by email, and four times a year our TCC magazine. Naturally, we will assist you with advice and support whenever necessary. If you wish to convert your aspirant membership into a registered membership, you must complete the entire registration procedure. However, you do not have to pay a registration fee upon acceptance. Via this link you can download the registration form for prospective membership.

With this, the NFG applies the same hourly standard as the Tax and Customs Administration.

If you are registered in the VPMW or VIG department, you can register with the umbrella organization. However, this is not mandatory.

You can register with the umbrella organization after you are registered with the NFG and are in possession of AGB codes (practice code and personal code). It is important that you have a personal AGB code *with* NFG accreditation.

VGZ requires umbrella registration before proceeding with reimbursement. For reimbursements from Menzis, Zilveren Kruis, and CZ (and a number of smaller insurers), umbrella registration is not necessary. When you on our reimbursement overview If you look, you can see per insurer whether umbrella registration is a requirement.

If you wish to be registered with the umbrella organization, you can email us your request. Please ensure that your email also includes your AGB codes. Every week (usually on Thursday), we register new members with the umbrella organization. Health insurers that require umbrella organization registration only reimburse from the date of registration with the umbrella organization.

There are costs associated with umbrella registration. You can choose not to register or to register later. Please inquire about the rates at the NFG secretariat.

We do not have a list of courses for you because we want you to look for training that suits you and from which you want to apply what you have learned in practice. We do, however, have an overview that can help you in your search for suitable training. Request the most recent overview from the NFG secretariat via

No, that is not possible. An NFG registration is always personal, and your registration therefore does not apply to persons employed by you. They will therefore have to go through the assessment procedure themselves and can apply for an AGB code themselves upon registration in the VPMW or VIG professional group. Health insurers also require the practitioner's AGB code to appear on the invoice.

Email this request to the NFG secretariat via info@de-nfg.nl. If additional training is required for this transfer, always include this diploma.

Cancellation of registered membership and aspirant membership must be done. before December 1st. A e-mail to the NFG secretariat suffices. A registered person is only deregistered once he or she has received a confirmation letter or email to that effect from the NFG secretariat.

You can do that via the page Edit my profile. Enter your practice name there as it is known to the NFG; you will then receive a one-time code via email. After entering that code, you can immediately update your description (bio) and profile photo. Please note: this only works if an email address is associated with your membership and you already have a profile page on de-nfg.nl/therapeut/....

No, via Edit my profile You only need to update your description and profile picture. If you wish to change other details such as address, working methods, phone number, or website, please notify the NFG; these will automatically appear on your page with the next update.

Other

All NFG registered members (with the exception of prospective members) must have (business) legal assistance insurance and professional and business liability insurance.
During the registration process, you will be asked if you wish to take out these insurance policies collectively through the NFG. If you do not wish to do so, this is not a problem, but you must be able to prove that you took out these policies yourself. You will then need to upload a recent policy upon registration (and annually thereafter).

You can find the costs of the mentioned insurances on our page ""Contributions".

Once you are registered with the NFG, you will find more information about these insurance policies on your personal NFG page. Would you like information about these insurance policies in advance? Then please contact the NFG secretariat. Our contact details can be found on the ""Contact page".

No, your NFG registration always runs from January 1st to December 31st. This is also the period for which you pay membership fees. Your license always runs until March 31st because we need the first few months of the year to verify all registration points and to issue new licenses. The reason your license is valid until March 31st is therefore purely an administrative one.

You can find information about the discount card via this link

  • You will receive the NFG News Flash from us by email every other week (except during holiday periods). This News Flash is the NFG's most important means of communicating with our registered members. You can also always view previously sent News Flashes. here still need to proofread.
  • All NFG register members (with the exception of aspirant members) are required to participate in annual continuing education, attend peer supervision and/or professional supervision, and read professional literature. You can read all the rules regarding this here. here.
  • Upon registration, you submitted a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) to the NFG. This is valid for up to 5 years after the issue date of this VOG. After this, you must upload a new VOG. If your VOG has expired, you will receive an email from us containing instructions. However, you do not have to wait for this. If you have a recent VOG yourself with the correct screening profile (45, health and welfare of humans and animals), you may always email it to us with a request to place it in your file.

After you have registered with the NFG, you can expect to receive our first invoice by email within a few weeks.

If you have opted for annual payment, you will always receive our annual membership fee invoice at the beginning of January. You can transfer this amount using the iDEAL link, or we can debit the amount from your account if you have authorized us to do so.

The monthly or quarterly amounts (depending on your choice) will be debited from your account. Before this happens, you will receive an email from us a few days in advance as a reminder.

Always check your spam folder as well, as our emails may end up there. We recommend marking emails from the NFG as a "safe sender" to prevent this.

When you register with the NFG, you are asked whether you agree to the handling of complaints (according to the Wkkgz) whether you want to have this arranged via the NFG or perhaps have already arranged this yourself. According to the Wkkgz, as a healthcare provider, you must in any case be affiliated with a recognized dispute resolution body and you must have a complaints officer.

If you make use of our Wkkgz scheme, we will register you with the CAMCoop. New registered members are registered once a quarter. On the website of the CAMCoop you can check your registration there.
They provide a complaints officer, and through them, you are affiliated with the Disputes Committee for Complementary Treatment Forms.

On your personal page under the blue "Downloads" tab, you will find a flowchart outlining the steps you must follow in the event of a complaint. You will also find a flowchart for your client here. This flowchart for the client can also be found on our website on the page ""Not satisfied with your care provider"If you have taken out the Wkkgz scheme through the NFG, you must link this page to your website so that your clients always know what to do in the event of a complaint.

Our Wkkgz regulations do not apply to prospective members.

For information about the Disciplinary Regulations, we refer you to the Disciplinary Law Protocol and the accompanying regulations. NFG register members registered with the RBCZ fall under the TCZ

You can per mail to cancel. That email must reach us before December 1st in order to be unsubscribed as of January 1st of the following year. If we receive your email later, you will not be unsubscribed until the year after that. We will always confirm your cancellation to you, and we will do so by email. Therefore, keep a close eye on your mailbox (including your spam folder) to ensure that your cancellation has been received and processed correctly.

If you have a complaint about an NFG employee or an NFG board member, then read in this document how you can act.

Once you have authorized the NFG for the Wkkgz scheme, we will register you with the CAMCoop. They arrange connection with The Healthcare Disputes Committee and in the event of a complaint, you will be assigned a complaints officer. Your name will then be on the website of the CAMCoop mentioned. You will receive a certificate/proof of registration from CAMCoop upon registration and annually thereafter (at the beginning of the new year).

We collaborate in this area with Logical and and My slide. You can ask them for more information.
